Optimisation of All Things Bright
Avid readers may have noticed that I've been moving things around a lot, I've added some things (advertising) & removed some other things (buttons).
On the advertising front, I've cut down on AdSense and am focusing on eBay & Amazon UK – as these seem to be more profitable for me. I'm loathe to remove AdSense all together, as I think it could pick up. If those stats don't improve by the end of the year, then I'll cut them right back.
On the usability front, I've emphasised the search box so that it's easier to find (nothing worse than searching for search…). I've edited the 'about' info on the right to be more succinct. It now reads, "Projects, poetry, philosophy & much more; entrepreneurship, tech, geekery… by Kathleen". The About & Projects pages also benefitted from editing for increased clarity.
On the community front, I've joined coComments & implemented it here – it allows you to keep track of all the comments you leave at the various blogs you visit; very useful tool, especially if you leave a lot of comments! (Hint, hint :)
