Detox health kick, for one month, starts Monday (pledge)
I kickstarted my health kick by buying the book: “Stay Healthy. Be Lazy: An Easy Detox” (aff).
It’s quite expensive (well, it is before the 33% currently available at Amazon). However, I bought it anyway because I really believe it will help me. Unlike other healthy-eating books, this one aims to get you to do little things that you’re likely to do. Just like Innocent smoothies themselves, it’s a more painless way of being healthy.
- No fast food restaurants
- Chips, once weekly maximum
- Fruit, once daily minimum (excluding fruit juice, but not smoothies)
Wish me luck & please do send healthy-eating tips - I need all the help I can get!

Cool! Innocent make wonderful smoothies, with nothing but fruit in :D
Snacking on fruit is pretty easy.
Depending on how you feel about bananas and milk, a nice quick breakfast / milkshake can be made by blending a couple of chopped bananas with 1/2 - 3/4 pint of mik and a little bit of honey.
It’s how I get most of my fruit and veg - hiding them inside other things :p

Aw, you commented, I’m touched.
Bananas are, unfortunately, my most hated food… I do eat them hidden in smoothies though. When I get a mixer, I’ll try your recipe, with some added (other) fruity goodness.
I too love Innocent smoothies, have you tasted the new detox one - acai, blueberries & pomegranate? It’s my favourite at the moment.
Thanks Dave!
