Sorry, life got in the way

Sincere apologies, but due to a proliferation of stuff and things to do, there's no entry today. Instead, I recommend some timely advice I need to take: Trizoko: How to Reduce Your Workload in 1 Minute, which I'll implement to ensure Friday's entry appears, bright and early! :)

    Speedlinks: Personal entrepreneurship

All Things Bright is dedicated to the topic of Personal entrepreneurship, so every entry here is in some way connected to that. What do I mean by personal entrepreneurship? Many things, including the personal and human sides of being an entrepreneur, my experiences with enterprise and social entrepreneurship (which involves seeking to improve the lives of those less fortunate than I am). Today I bring you five links focused ...

    How to achieve your goals

Please take one step towards your goals and resolutions Do it now You cannot act in the past. It is only a memory and it may be mistaken. You cannot act in the future. It is only a dream and it may be wrong. You can act now. You can only act now. You owe it to yourself too. In this individual movement you can choose to continue reading. You can choose to ...

Review of design & content, plus feedback plea

Enjoy reading All Things Bright? Then you might be interested in my plans for it this coming new year, especially as you have the power to change things here, just by leaving me feedback. On 11 December, I asked for your help with considering changes for All Things Bright, what kind of design & content you'd like here and what you think of teasers (i.e. excerpts of entries). I made ...

Not ‘I need’, instead ‘I want’ or, How to get things done, changing your perspective

My last entry was a super long one and I'm still mulling over the ideas I expressed there. So, just a little entry today. Following extensive reading from a variety of sources I've realised that the only way to 'make' myself do some things is to change my perception of whatever needs to be done. I need to really want to do it. Sometimes it's easy, I just focus on the ...

Ill, please check back on Friday, 17th November

I'm ill at the moment, so I'm taking the day off from posting. My sincerest apologies. In the confusion of hosting failure I neglected to update on Monday, and for this, too, I apologise. I will be writing offline though. Consequently, I'll be resuming updating on Friday, 17th November 2006. See you then.

Help needed to make time - please assist!

I'm clearly failing in my attempts to do everything and be everything for all people at all times. I need to be more focused, and I am am working on that. In the meantime, what can I do to create more time? Any suggestions? All ideas gratefully received! Thanks!

Getting organised - time & project management

This week just gone I've let down five people, as well as myself. I'm atoning and making amends next week. Have made it up to two people so far, with concrete plans for two more, so I'm getting there. The reason? Poor time management. It's just hard to go from working at home on my own projects to full-time studying, at the same time as my social calendar has ...

Tasty *and* healthy! Review of the Mongolian Barbeque (restuarant)

The Mongolian Barbeque is an excellent place for fussy eaters like myself, as you get to choose exactly what you're eating, in what quantities and with what seasonings. Of course, vegetarian/vegan options too. It was extraordinairily quiet there today (nobody else there!) It's very reasonably priced too - £6-7 for large main dish. There's also an all you can eat buffet option, range of desserts and sides, in case you ...

    Poetry, mine, from year 2000

I've just uploaded three poems I wrote in 2000 (I've cleverly backdated them so they don't interfere with the chronology of All Things Bright). If you'd like to read them, you can access them via Poetry: 2000 or access all poetry (only these three at the moment, but more to come) via Poetry. These links also appear in the 'Categories' listing in the sidebar. Enjoy & please do let me ...
